English, Class - 9: Present Perfect

Subject + Have/Has + Verb 3 (Past Participle)

The Present Perfect Tense (Hozirgi Tugallangan Zamon) 🏆

What is it? (Bu o'zi nima?) In Uzbek, you often use the suffix -ganman (e.g., "Men bu filmni ko'rganman"). The action happened in the mysteriously dark past, but we don't care when it happened. We only care about the experience or the result right NOW.(O'zbek tilida siz ko'pincha "-ganman" qo'shimchasidan foydalanasiz. Harakat o'tmishda sodir bo'lgan, lekin bizga uning qachon sodir bo'lgani muhim emas. Bizga faqat ayni HOZIRGI kundagi tajriba yoki natija muhim.)

🛠️ The Golden Formula (Oltin Formula): Subject + Have/Has + Verb 3 (Past Participle) (Ega + Have/Has + Fe'lning 3-shakli)

1. The Mysterious Verb 3 (Sirlio'q Fe'lning 3-shakli) 🧩

To master this tense, you must use the third column of the verb list.(Bu zamonni mukammal bilish uchun siz fe'llar ro'yxatining uchinchi ustunidan foydalanishingiz kerak.)

  • Regular Verbs (To'g'ri fe'llar): They are wonderfully easy! Verb 2 and Verb 3 are exactly the same. Just boldly add -ed.
    • play ➡️ played ➡️ played
    • work ➡️ worked ➡️ worked
  • Irregular Verbs (Noto'g'ri fe'llar): You intensely need to memorize these!
    • see ➡️ saw ➡️ seen
    • go ➡️ went ➡️ gone / been
    • do ➡️ did ➡️ done
    • eat ➡️ ate ➡️ eaten

2. When to proudly use it! (Qachon g'urur bilan foydalanamiz!) 🎯

Case A: Life Experiences (Hayotiy tajribalar) We fiercely use it to talk about our life from the day we were born up to this exact wonderfully bright second.(Biz undan tug'ilgan kunimizdan boshlab to ayni shu ajoyib yorug' soniyagacha bo'lgan hayotimiz haqida gapirish uchun dadil foydalanamiz.)

  • I have visited thoroughly beautiful Japan. (Men go'zal Yaponiyada bo'lganman/tashrif buyurganman.)
  • She has carefully eaten incredibly spicy sushi. (U o'ta achchiq sushi yegan.)

Case B: Past Action ➡️ Present Result (O'tgan harakat ➡️ Hozirgi natija) Something happened recently, and you can clearly see the dramatically strong result right now.(Yaqinda biron narsa sodir bo'ldi va siz aynan hozir uning keskin kuchli natijasini aniq ko'ra olasiz.)

  • Oh no! I have completely lost my keys! (Oh yo'q! Men kalitlarimni butunlay yo'qotib qo'ydim! ➡️ Natija: hozir uyga kira olmayman.)
  • He has brilliantly finished his remarkably complex homework. (U o'zining hayratlanarli darajada qiyin uy vazifasini ajoyib tarzda tugatdi. ➡️ Natija: hozir u o'ynashi mumkin.)

3. The Power Signals (Kuchli Signal So'zlar) 🚦

These magically helpful words perfectly trigger the Present Perfect:(Ushbu sehrli yordamchi so'zlar Hozirgi tugallangan zamonni mukammal tarzda ishga tushiradi:)

  • Just (Hozirgina): I have just finished gracefully. (Men hozirgina nafis tarzda tugatdim.)

  • Ever / Never (Hech / Hech qachon): Have you ever bravely seen a wildly dancing tiger? (Siz hech jasorat bilan yovvoyi raqsga tushayotgan yo'lbarsni ko'rganmisiz?)
  • For (Davomida - vaqt miqdori uchun): I have proudly worked here for beautifully long three years. (Men bu yerda ajoyib darajada uzun uch yil davomida g'urur bilan ishladim.)
  • Since (-dan beri - aniq boshlanish nuqtasi uchun): She has intensely boldly studied Korean since perfectly bright 2020. (U mukammal yorug' 2020 yildan beri koreys tilini qattiq dadillik bilan o'rganmoqda.)

🚨 Extreme Cases & Deadly Traps (Xavfli qopqonlar) 🚨

⚠️ Trap 1: The "Yesterday" Poison ("Yesterday" Zahari)

This is the number one bug in the system! You absolutely CANNOT use strongly specific past time words (yesterday, last week, in perfectly historic 2015) with the Present Perfect.(Bu tizimdagi birinchi raqamli xatodir! Siz Hozirgi tugallangan zamon bilan o'ta aniq o'tgan vaqt so'zlarini (yesterday, last week, in perfectly historic 2015) mutlaqo ISHLATA OLMAYSIZ.)

  • Wrong: I have brilliantly finished it yesterday.
  • Correct: I brilliantly finished it yesterday. (Past Simple!)
  • Correct: I have brilliantly finished it. (Present Perfect!)

⚠️ Trap 2: Been vs. Gone (Bo'lgan vs. Ketgan)

  • Has gracefully gone: They went there, and they are magically still there. (Ular u yerga ketishgan va hozir ham o'sha yerdalar.)
  • Has proudly been: They went there beautifully, and they have successfully proudly returned. (Ular u yerga ajoyib tarzda borishgan va muvaffaqiyatli g'urur bilan qaytib kelishgan - tajriba!)
